For you early birds... We have a yoga
class at 6:30am every Wednesday morning at the center.
Yoga was originally designed by Yogis for Yogis, and can be particularly
challenging for people in modern cultures who did not learn the poses early
in their lives. Beginning Yoga is 6-week course that integrates
traditional Yoga and Gokhale MethodSM principles. It provides a filter for
traditional yoga, with poses chosen and modified to support, protect, and
benefit people in modern cultures. Like traditional Yoga it stretches and
strengthens muscles, regulates organs and glands, and disciplines and calms
the mind. It also integrates well with everyday life.
To provide more classes and make them more easily affordable, we are
offering a monthly membership rate of $140 per month that covers
attendance in all current dance, yoga, Stretch & Strengthen classes, and those we plan to
add to the program in the future. The drop-in fee is $35 per class
as it was in the past. However, the fee for your very first class is only $10.
Offered for those who would like to continue in the Yoga style,
this course introduces additional yoga poses, mixing and matching them with
those learned in the Beginning course to create new and revitalizing series.
